As people are living longer, the need for long-term care planning has increased. The specialized area of estate planning referred to as “elder law” addresses planning for long-term care.  Elder law planning can reduce the financial and emotional strains that arise when the need for care arises. As soon as it appears that a family member may need long-term care assistance, please let us know. There are various planning opportunities, especially with married couples when one spouse may need long term care in a nursing home.
